Joselor and Junio have nine children together, all of school age attend children, and the youngest stays home with Joselor during the day. All of their kids have names that start with the letter ‘J’, so good luck keeping them all straight (Jansen, Jovice, Josel Joy, Jumius Jr., Joved, Jamenn, Josh Rupert, Julo, and Julia Lee)! With so many kids, you can imagine that Joselor remains busy cooking and cleaning, while also preparing them for their school days. The children work together to take care of the different animals, pigs, chickens, roosters, cats, dogs etc. when they get home from school. Junios is a fisherman in the seas surrounding Malapascua and has been for his whole life. When he isn’t fishing, he sews the nets (a very time consuming task) or helps to make ice that they later sell.
The family enjoys celebrating fiestas, birthday parties and family reunions together, especially when it involves swimming. Scrabble and volleyball are also some activities relished by the Almacin family, and you would be welcomed to join if you stay in their home.
Joselor and Junios’s house is very large and open, fitted with both a spacious living room and a roomy terrace. Each of those places act as the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the warm weather, while sitting in the bamboo couches. The location of the house is only a couple of minutes walk away from the beach, making it a great location for those who want to spend time along the ocean. Inside the house, the bedroom is located right next to the entryway, meaning that the room has easy access in and out. Also, the bed is quite big, making it an ideal room for tourists that are traveling as a couple. Further in the house, guests will find the bathroom, which is complete with modern fixtures, including a shower head and running water.
